According to Koerner (1998), a geogrid is a geosynthetic material made up of interconnected parallel sets of tensile ribs with apertures large enough to permit striking through of the surrounding soil, stone, or other geotechnical material. When used with appropriately sized aggregate fills, geogrids offer reinforcement, stabilization, and even filtration. They are frequently used in civil engineering applications and are made from polymers like polyester, polypropylene, and polyethylene.
Use of Geogrid
